Do I need a new sliding door?

That depends on what you are looking to accomplish.
Most old patio doors can be repaired. Rollers, locks, handles, tracks are all available. So if it's functionality you're shopping for you don't need a new door.

What are the benefits of new doors and windows?

Upgrading your patio doors and windows will increase the thermal rating of your home which will save you thousands of dollars over time, the improved locking systems will make you feel safer and more secure and the aesthetic upgrades will freshen up your home and give it a bit of a face lift.

The Two Types of Door and Window Installations

New Installation Process

New installation requires removing the trim or braking away the stucco completely pulling out the old frames and then installing the new patio doors or windows. The stucco or trim is then replaced, everything is sealed up and then it’s ready for paint. This is the cleanest style of installation with smaller profile frames (not as bulky) and is also less likely to ever leak. It is the most durable type of installation.

Retrofit Patio Doors and Windows

Retrofitting is a quicker, less expensive and a very common method for patio door and window replacement.
In essence the panels of the old patio doors and windows are removed, the outer frames are left in place and the new windows and doors are installed within the perimeters of the old frames. This is an acceptable, effective, and economical solution.
This method is not recommended for anyone who is already experiencing window or door leaks or any type of water infiltration problem with water damage.
Speaking of water damage, yes we can and will repair any water damage in any opening that we replace a window or patio door in.

White vinyl doors and windows with Low E and high efficiency/ tempered safety glass.
Window and sliding glass door frames are available in a range of standard colors such as white, black, bronze and tan.
Custom colors and finishes are also available upon request.
Aluminum doors and windows are also available in the same colors and are offered with Low E high efficiency
tempered safety glass.
It should be mentioned that aluminum products are far superior to vinyl products and are significantly more expensive and unless you install thermally broken aluminum products they are not as energy efficient as vinyl.
We also install wood window and door products upon request.
Burglar resistant doors and windows.
We love laminated glass.
Upgrading to laminated glass provides safety benefits and is basically burglar proof or should we say burglar resistant. It will also dramatically reducing noise from the outside such as road or highway noise.
