Patio/Sliding Glass Door Repair

Sliding Glass Door Roller Replacement
We have trained mobile technicians to make repairing your sliding doors and windows quick and easy. Our trucks are stocked with an extensive inventory of hardware and manufacturer’s replacement parts, allowing us to complete most repairs with a single trip to your home. We have a large selection of rollers on hand to fit almost any door.
Our roller replacement package includes cleaning the track, replacement of the sliding glass door rollers, re-aligning the panels, and adjusting locks so that the door rolls smoothly and locks securely. We'll even clean the glass. In many cases, the bottom track has become damaged, we have solutions for that too.
Sliding Door Track Repair
When a sliding door’s track is damaged, it's usually due to prolonged use of worn-out rollers. It can also be the result of using the wrong type of roller. We can fix this by installing a stainless steel track cap on top of the damaged bead, providing a smooth, dent-free, damage-resistant surface for the rollers to roll on.
Complete Sliding Door Track Replacement
If the track bead (the part of the bottom track that the rollers roll on) is damaged beyond repair, replacement of the entire bottom track is an option. When we do a complete track replacement, we remove the door panels from the opening, extract the old track, install the new replacement track, seal it, and replace the rollers. We will also apply waterproofing material in the corners and under the newly installed track.
No track replacement is complete without installing the protective stainless steel track cap mentioned above to ensure your track is never damaged again.
Water Proofing with a Sill Pan
If your existing sliding door track is leaking, causing damage to interior flooring or drywall, we can install a new bottom track with a thin metal sill pan. Also known as the Floyd Pan, named after the original sliding door repair guru who started putting sill pans under leaky tracks back in 1985.
The pan is glued down with a waterproofing material, and then the track is glued to the pan. The sill pan will capture water and direct it outside, where it belongs. Problem solved.
Glass Replacement
Broken patio door glass? Foggy Glass?
A1 On Track Sliding Door Repair is the best source for all of your residential glass replacement needs. We have standard-size glass in stock and can fulfill your request quickly.
Re-glazing
If the side rails are pulling away from the glass, it may be due to excessive force while opening and closing the sliding glass door. This is caused by worn-out rollers. The door is no longer rolling, and the wheels may be completely frozen solid.
Dragging a sliding door back and forth with rollers that aren't working properly will, in time, damage the bottom track and can cause the rails to pull away from the glass. For this type of problem, we will remove the panel from the opening, disassemble the frame from the glass, replace or reattach rubber glazing, then reassemble the frame and reinstall the door.
Sliding door roller replacement will also be necessary to keep the rails from pulling away from the glass again.
Sliding Glass Door Cut-Down
When the wall above the door opening has settled down in the middle (known as “header sag”), and the doors are not sliding freely, there are two options: 1) a new door, or 2) shorten the existing glass - this is called a “cut-down.” We will rebuild the panels with new, shorter glass, freeing up the panel to roll as it was intended. This is also a great time to change the rollers and install a protective sill cap.
Sliding Glass Door Locks and Handles
We offer many types of sliding glass door handles and lock replacements, security bolts, and various security options. We also offer aftermarket pulls that will allow you to slide your patio door with ease.
